MINT CORNERS was founded by a long time card collector who knew there was a better way to store and ship cards. Here is how the new design came about. I sold a set of 1985 Donruss cards over the internet. The set was packaged in a standard 800 count storage box with the Clemens and Puckett rookies in penny sleeves and top loaders. This box was put in another shipping box and sent off to my customer. I received an email stating that the Clemens and Puckett cards were fine, but he wasn't happy with the condition of the other cards in the set. He said they all had badly damaged corners and asked for a refund. I knew those cards, when sent, were all in mint condition. After resolving the issue with a refund, frustration began to set in and I started to think of a way that a whole box of cards could be protected just as safely as an expensive single card. The idea was simple - have the cards rest on their edges and keep the corners from touching anything. Creating the design and getting it all to fold from one piece of cardboard was the difficult part. After 2 years of hard work the completed box was launched in March of 2007. My goal is to help people avoid the heartache and heartbreak of having their cards damaged during shipping or storage. If you have a horror story of how your cards were damaged and would like to share it, please send it to us at mintcorners@aol.com
